Faculty and Staff Help

The Webster Teaching and Learning Centre, located in the Robertson Library, is available to help faculty and staff with strategies to help students with disabilities. If you are a member of faculty or staff, and you are looking for ways to assist your students, here are some sample suggestions that are easy to implement:

  • allow extra time for exams and assignments
  • provide alternative forms of testing (i.e., oral exams)
  • find accessible and/or more appropriate class locations
  • provide appropriate seating within the classroom
  • ask the students what works for them
  • provide access to readings and book lists in advance
  • provide separate rooms to write exams
  • make photocopied material clear and legible
  • put class notes on the Web
